Pittsburgh features a skyline of 151 skyscrapers, 446 bridges,
and two inclined railways, and is commonly known as "The city of Bridges". The growth of Pittsburgh and its economy was caused by the
extensive trade of steel. Since, Pittsburgh has adapted to the collapse of the region's steel industry. The primary industries have
shifted more to high technology. A small brick building called the Blockhouse?actually an outbuilding known as a redoubt?remains in
Point State Park, the only intact remnant of Fort Pitt. It was erected in 1764, and is believed to be the oldest building, not only
in Pittsburgh, but in eastern Pennsylvania.
